The perfect solution was reached by Delta Faucets in 1980 when they brought the first pull out kitchen faucet to the market. These new pull out faucets not only saved time and energy when doing kitchen tasks, they were also very environmentally friendly as well. When pulled out from the man faucet, the water supply to the pull out spout was typically controlled by a trigger switch, similar to those on the original sprayer nozzles. By having control over when you wanted the water off and on, as opposed to running it as a steady stream from the spout, it helped to significantly reduce the amount of water being used unnecessarily. What Is A Sink Mixer Tap?

A kitchen sink mixer tap is essentially the component of the sink faucet that is used to blend the hot and cold water together in order to achieve the desired temperature of the water output. This can be controlled by either dual knobs or levers, each controlling the hot and cold water flow individually, or a single lever or know, determining the water flow and temperature depending on its position. Standard Sink Mixer Tap

A standard mixer tap works on the basic principle of controlling the hot and cold water flow via a ceramic valve. The position of the valve is determined by the use of either the dual lever or singe level faucet controls. The ceramic valve is located at the meeting point of the hot and cold water pipes and changes location accordingly to let a certain percentage of hot and cold water through, at the desired flow rate.
