Custom Shower Trays

With consumers constantly on the lookout for fixtures with a unique and one-of-a-kind appearance, the custom shower tray market is rather lucrative. Custom trays are frequently needed when the construction or layout of a bathroom doesn’t allow for a standard size or shaped shower tray to be installed. With more consumers opting for extravagant over-sized bathrooms, many are seeking custom units that are much larger than any standard sizes on the market in order to make a more substantial visual impact in the room. Regardless of the reasoning behind the need for a custom shower tray, there are several ways to have one custom made to fit your exact specifications.

Custom Shower Tray Shapes

The standard shapes for shower trays are square, rectangular, pentangular, quadrant, and offset quadrant. If a consumer is looking for something a little more unique, they could opt for a custom shower tray with 6 or 8 sides, giving it more of a geometric appeal than the other designs. This would be ideal for bathrooms with a very modern style and decor. Triangular shower trays can also be custom made when floorspace is limited and cannot accommodate a quadrant tray. By replacing the curved outer wall of a quadrant tray with a flat panel, the space gained may allow for easier access or more efficient door positioning. A shower tray and enclosure can be made in practically any shape you can imagine.

Custom Shower Tray Sizes

Of course, the most obvious custom request for shower trays is to make them larger or smaller than the standard sizes available on the market. Some custom shower trays are also ordered that need to fall in between two standard market sizes, as one standard size may be too large and the other too small for the area they need to be installed in. Regardless of the shape chosen, the size of a shower tray can be increased or decreased to meet nearly any specification.

While the option of having a custom shower tray built is nice, and sometimes a necessity, keep in mind that the cost is significantly higher for custom pieces than it is for standard shapes and sizes. In the end, having a one-of-a-kind shower tray often makes the visual impact and effect worth the extra money.

I have a cupboard apperture in my bathroon into which I intend to fit a shower, The rear and two side walls will be tiled and I will therefore need the sized shower tray plus the entry door for the front. The size is approx 970mm wide x *765mm deep (*can be adjused to suit standard shower tray)
