The Shower Tray

Choosing the best shower tray is a crucial part of creating the perfect shower, and thus, the perfect bathroom. The positioning, capacity, and size of your shower tray will be of the utmost importance over the lifetime of your home and bathroom. Modern shower trays can be made of several different substances, and appear in many different ways.
Obviously, one would need to determine what shape shower tray is needed. The shower tray itself is the base of the shower. The four most popular choices are square, rectangular, quadrant and the pentacle shower tray. Each option will offer distinct attributes.

The square shower tray is arguably the most common shape. These shower trays are most appropriate for an alcove or
corner, and offer a moderate amount of space. This is a standard tray, and it has been seen in bathrooms for decades.
Additionally, there are numerous sizes available.

The rectangular shower tray is similar to the square shower tray, but is able to offer a larger size. If the bathroom in question has the size to support this tray, the rectangular shower tray is considered a very comfortable choice. It is of a more luxurious size than some other options mentioned.

The quadrant shower tray has often been considered an elegant choice. It appears as a square tray, but boasts a single rounded corner. It is most commonly seen with an enclosure for a sliding door. This is one of the newer options available, and has been very popular in the custom bathroom thus far.

For smaller bathrooms, a good choice is the pentacle shower tray. This tray is very similar to the square tray, but presents with one absent square. One might expect to see this item next to a sink or toilet. A pentacle shower tray is usually a project for a professional plumber, as it can be difficult to install.

The next important thing to determine will be the material for the shower. One popular option can be the acrylic, or plastic, shower tray. This is a lightweight tray, and is typically reinforced with wood. It is possible to be more modern in the creation of this tray. This advantage is available primarily because the acrylic shower tray is comprised of the same material that is used for acrylic baths. However, it may not be as sturdy as a heavier shower tray.

A second available choice is the resin shower tray. This shower tray is heavier than the acrylic option, and is an opportunity to reap some of the benefits from other shower trays. It has been noted that the texture of this tray is warmer to the touch than the other choices.

The slimline shower tray is a newer, more contemporary choice. It includes a lower profile and the majority of the slimline trays are comprised of stone resin. Its appearance adheres well with other minimalist products, and can be made as durably as other shower trays.

The final consideration to keep in mind is the height of the shower tray. Standard shower trays will present with standard heights. However, a new possibility has recently appeared. The easy plumb shower tray has height adjustable legs that appear on the bottom of the tray itself.

Shower trays are often not considered very much. It is, however, an incredibly important decision. The shower tray is, the basis of the shower and is therefore instrumental in the overall appeal of this room.
